What is hemp plant oil?
Will hemp oil get me high?
How does hemp plant oil interact with my body?
Hemp plant oil interacts directly with the endocannabinoid system. Though thousands of articles and studies have been published on this system, little was known until as recently as the early 1990s. This system is present in all human organisms, and is involved in moderating a number of physical and cognitive processes, such as appetite and everyday discomforts.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The Endocannabinoid System is made up of a series of receptor sites on cells and enzymes. There are two main receptor sites: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are commonly found in the brain (also the liver, kidneys, and lungs), while CB2 receptors are mainly found in the immune system.
Hemp oil extracts work with the mammalian Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a vast receptor system that helps support homeostasis and health.* This receptor system exists in the immune system, the central nervous system, and within many organs. The ECS accepts our bodies’ own endocannabinoids as well as the extracts found in hemp.
A human’s endocannabinoid system affects many regions of the body, including functions of the immune system, the central nervous system (including the brain), organs, connective tissue, and glands.
The ECS supports various biological tasks, including energy & balance, immune function, memory, metabolism, sleep, and the function of the autonomic nervous system.
What is Full Spectrum hemp oil?
The term “Full spectrum” refers to the Hemp Oil containing all trace hemp extracts and terpenes, which enhances the medicinal benefits of the hemp oil. This is known also as the “Entourage Effect”, a synergistic effect of multiple hemp extracts working together.
What is the Entourage Effect?
The Entourage Effect is a phrase coined in 1998 by two Israeli scientists to describe their findings that taking the entire spectrum of natural chemicals found in cannabis is more beneficial than only taking a single molecule compound.
Our products are whole-plant extracts that include a variety of compounds. These beneficial compounds include a range of hemp extracts, terpenes, and flavonoids.
Why are our hemp products legal?
The Marihuana Tax Act provides a definition for both the legal and illegal parts of the Cannabis sativa plant, namely the leaves and the flowers. To be more specific, it states:
“The term ‘marijuana’ means all parts of the plant Cannabis sativa L., whether growing or not; the seeds thereof; the resin extracted from any part of such plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of such plant, its seeds, or resins; but shall not include the mature stalks of such plant, fiber produced from such stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of such plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of such mature stalks (except the resin extracted therefrom), fiber, oil, or cake, or the sterilized seed of such plant which is incapable of germination.”
Within this excerpt, the key words are “mature stalks,” “oil or cake made from the seeds,” and “sterilized seeds.” Since these components are not included in the federal definition of Cannabis sativa, or hemp, these are the parts that are absolutely legal, and are thus the components that we use to make our hemp plant oil products
How do I take hemp oil?
We recommend a few best ways for taking hemp oil: sublingually (under the tongue), Topically, or as an Inhalant (Vaporizing).
What’s the difference between hemp seed oil and hemp oil?
Hemp seed oil is manufactured from hemp seeds, and contains low concentrations of plant extracts and compounds. It is used for a variety of things such as: beauty products, lubricants, paints, and as a food.
Hemp oil is an extraction from the agricultural hemp aerial plant parts. This oil may contain higher concentrations of compounds such as hemp extract, terpenes and flavonoids.
What is the shelf life of hemp oil?
The Hemp oil itself does not have an expiration date, but the shelf life of the MCT Oil used in the drops, cream, and vape cartridges is about 2-3 years. Just make sure to keep your products in a dry, dark, and cool environment to stop any kind of chemical reactions from moisture, sunlight, or heat.
Can the color of my hemp extract oil vary from batch to batch?
Products that are made with ingredients grown in nature sometimes vary slightly from batch to batch. Our products are not made with any additives or dyes to standardize the color of our products. That said, you’re left with only natural Hemp oil the way nature intended. If you experience a color difference from product to product that is due to the natural, seasonal variation in our hemp crops. We thoroughly test each batch to ensure that the amount of hemp extract stays consistent in each product.
What is the difference between Full Spectrum and Iso-Filtered?
Full-Spectrum extract is as close to juicing the plant as possible. By leaving the extract in its most unadulterated form, we are able to maintain its nutrient density with all of the naturally occurring compounds in the plant – chlorophyll, terpenes, aminos, essential fatty acids, and many more.
The term “Iso” comes from the process of isolating one essential natural constituent from all the other cannabinoids in the hemp plant, where the filtered component describes the elimination of the plant and wax material.
How should I use the dropper to administer the Hemp Oil?
Our hemp extract bottles come with an included dropper for easy use. Keeping the dropper clean and void of any bacteria is essential for your health and the preservation of the hemp extract. If you choose to use the dropper for oral application of our hemp extracts, take special care to keep it from coming in contact with the interior and exterior of your mouth. It is recommended that you clean the dropper after each use, especially if it comes in contact with your mouth, with an alcohol swab to ensure proper storage of the product.
How should I store my Hemp oil?
Our products do not need to be refrigerated, but if you prefer to take it when it chilled you can store it in the fridge without that impacting the product. We recommend storing your product anywhere that the bottle isn’t exposed to constant light and or heat. Do you test for potency, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, and residual solvents?
Yes, we have very high standards regarding the quality and purity of the hemp oil we produce. We validate our quality and purity through our third-party lab, SC Laboratories who independently analyzes the hemp oil, using HPLC testing and also ensures that all our products are free of pesticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators, residual solvents and any microbiological contamination. Further, a separate lab uses advanced testing methods, including a form of Mass Spectrometry, to confirm that there is no heavy metal contamination in either the raw materials or the finished products.
